The challenge in designing the identity for the site was to include the three different aspects which made it famous: (1) the historic and religious relevance, (2) the artistic values of its art and architecture, and (3) the beauty of the landscape around it.
To communicate the soul of the place, we looked for a naive form of the logo, with irregular borders and color. This vernacular aspect is crucial to stress the cultural role played by the local communities.

The same approach was maintained in the design of the documents, using a specific recycled paper for the letterhead and choosing an irregular texture for the business cards.
While for the envelopes, we choose old postcards illustrating the landscape and employed them to strengthen the identity's concept.

Being a place where it's possible to enjoy nature but also visit artistic expressions from the past, we had to integrate different activities into a single system of environmental graphics. So we designed 3 different types of signage:
1) a big map to show the full itinerary, 2) informative graphics for each one of the chapels,
3) wayfinding signage placed throughout the path. Additionally, a small brochure has been designed to improve the visiting experience on the site.

To guarantee a complete experience, we conceived and designed an app. The App gives important support during the visiting experience, giving the visitors technical information but also insights on art and architecture.
It contains textual information, images but also audio files to follow people through the visit.
